This week’s box office is dominated by “Stomp the Yard,”,a movie that caters mostly to the rnb generation with the likes of Neyo and Chris Brown as part of the casting.

Jennifer Aniston Confirmed on ‘Dirt’ Season Finale
It’s confirmed. FX just sent out a press release that Jennifer Aniston will guest star on Dirt’s season finale, playing Courteney Cox’s rival! Aniston will play Tina Harrod, a rival magazine (Us News) editor of “Lucy Spiller,” played by series star Courteney Cox. This is the first time that Aniston and Cox have worked together since Friends.

The Dirt season finale will air on Tuesday, March 27 @ 10 PM ET/PT on FX.

The top awards went to Babel for Best Motion Picture (Drama), Dreamgirls for Best Motion Picture (Comedy or Musical), “Grey’s Anatomy” for Best Television Series (Drama) and “Ugly Betty” for Best Television Series (Comedy or Musical).

Martin Scorsese picked up Best Director for The Departed. Forest Whitaker received the Best Actor (Drama) award for The Last King of Scotland and Helen Mirren won Best Actress (Drama) for The Queen. She also got a second award for Best Actress in HBO’s “Elizabeth I”. On the Comedy or Musical side, Meryl Streep won for The Devil Wears Prada while Sacha Baron Cohen got Best Actor for “Borat.” [Read more]

Depp to make film about poisoned ex-spy
Johnny Depp is making a film about a former Russian spy whose poisoning death in London has touched off an international mystery, the trade magazine Variety reported.

Warner Bros. has bought the rights to a book about Alexander Litvinenko for Depp’s production company, Infinitum Nihil, the magazine reported Friday. Depp will produce the film and could star in it, the report said. [Read more]
